What's Coming Next? (Three Year Books)

Right-o. Dragon book complete, what's next?

I've been working on the manuscript for the poetry collection. I've spent three days putting it together and it is currently 143 pages long. I might need to whittle it down a bit!

Fun fact, some of the 'poems' i write are actually songs. Sometimes i write with a guitar, or even a virtual keyboard on my computer. I'm not a brilliant singer but i like it. I share some of them on Instagram @blaikegillshaw if you're interested :)

Anyway. I've come up with a couple of title ideas which I am quite fond of:

1. Boy Kiss

2. Lava Lamps and Rocket Ships

3. Tiny Love

I've used the same size format as This Isn't Everything but i haven't decided on a font or whether i should have that text at the top of each page that has the title and the author name on. I quite like hat in a book but it might be distracting to some readers.

I'm also not sure what to do for cover art. I don't want to do a plain colour and a line drawing again (apart from i do have a drawing of a lava lamp i would use if i go for title no:2). I would quite like to use a black and white film photo or i took a photo of a sink a while back that i really like but who knows - that's a way off yet.

I didn't realise how much I'd written over the past few years. I thought this was going to be a chapbook but 143 pages is a lot! I think that's mainly because i write in the notes app of my phone and never scroll back through it so that was interesting to do. I need to go through my voice notes....eek.

Now i need to go and eat a donut and do the laundry so i'll see you in the next one.
